And so, I'm here.

And so, I'm here.
Landing, here, amid a field of sunflowers on October 7, 2017. I'm on the right about half an acre back. I'm trying to "be present", but I'm not sure it's working. This is what it looks like to most people who are trying to find an alternative health practitioner, or even the right doctor. It can be stunningly overwhelming! With so much input overload, you choose not to choose. Great! Now you have "choice anxiety" to add to whatever else seems to be the problem. The longest journey starts with the first step. I produce a medical interview show called "Aches And Gains" for Dr. Paul Christo, MD a pain specialist at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in Baltimore, MD. A handful of comments from over 180 half-hour shows continue to rise to the surface. These stories have wonderful "take home" nuggets, but the most often mentioned idea is that you have to stay the course and keep looking until your answer arrives. That may take a number of doctors and/or practitioners and, maybe, years of searching. That's right, YEARS! Yes, you may get lucky and get fixed in less time, but know going into it, that your path may be longer than you imagined. Having a great support network of family and friends is also key, but unless they can actually see your pain, they (and your doctors) may not believe you. You need an inner circle of people who are there for you regardless of how it looks on the outside. What do YOU think?
