Grief.

Grief.

“I don't feel very much like Pooh today," said Pooh. "There there," said Piglet. "I'll bring you tea and honey until you do.” ― A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

When we are in the midst of grief, we need people who will "be" with us. They must not have any agenda and be able to meet us just where we are.
Grief is like an ocean. It is not a straight road. We get tossed and pulled in every direction, and just occasionally, the sea is quiet, and we can float and "be."
We are forever changed. It is a rite of passage we have to pass through as a human being, allowing ourselves to feel all the pain and loss. It is by going through it that we can then begin to live life again. We are changed forever.
