Energy In - Energy Out

Energy In - Energy Out

Physical activity can be part of our day through workouts, walking or biking to work, lawn work or cleaning the house. All those activities require energy from the body… another word for energy is "calories." What does that mean to you? According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), it means your energy balance is the balance of calories consumed through eating and drinking compared to calories burned through physical activity. Smart Choices Shape You, be sure you are consuming adequate energy to support your activity level. Also be conscious not to consume too many calories (energy) if you are not active enough to burn that energy so... you are able to achieve an optimal body weight. If you have questions on the correct amount of energy/calories to intake, another smart choice would be to meet and speak with a nutritionist, doctor or naturopath.
