Infuse Your Life with Yoga
Mornings can be tough and rough. I am sure I don’t have to give any examples of what it may look like or feel like for you. A morning yoga routine is what keeps me from daily chaos. We can use yoga in our morning routine or in our day to boost our energy and sense of wellbeing. Yoga is more than performing poses and twisting ourselves into pretzels. Here are some suggestions: The practice of smile: Joy, contentment begin with a smile. Look a yourself in the mirror and smile! You might even laugh.
The practice of meditation: Visualize the day with a positive outcome. If I have a long day ahead of me, I will visualize myself riding smoothly over possible bumps on the path. When we anticipate ease we have more chance for a smooth ride.
The practice of gratitude: Starting the day with gratitude affects our whole being. We can be grateful everyday for the miracle of life and the beauty of nature. Take time to witness a flower, a sunrise or taking a nice deep breath.
The practice of Breathing: Start the day being aware of the breath. Notice it. Allow it to expand. Come back to the simple practice of noticing the breath throughout the day. Breath is life.
The practice of eating consciously: Taking time to chew, enjoy and digest the food we eat to nourish ourselves can be part of our yoga practice off the mat.
