Do you struggle with being gassy and bloated?

Do you struggle with being gassy and bloated?

When it comes to being gassy and bloated, there is an interconnection with what you eat, how much water you drink, how you eat and how well you digest and assimilate the foods you eat.

The food choices you make and dehydration will cause bloating, constipation, and other issues. When it comes to the type of food you eat there is no gray area. The food you eat is either supporting your body or creating health challenges.

“Bloating" as a term may not be as widely relatable as "Gas" or "Stomach Cramps," but I am here to tell you they are all one in the same.

When you are bloated, it can cause stomach aches, cramps, headaches, burping, the protruding 'food baby' belly, and the most recognized symptom: flatulence!

Here are a few big triggers of bloating that may surprise you:

• Salty foods

• Frozen entrees, due to preservatives and sodium

• Dehydration

• Wheat/gluten

• Carbonated drinks

• Sugar-free foods

• Beer

Processed foods, canned foods, packaged foods, and dairy are foods that are difficult to digest, causing potential bloating, inflammation, constipation, digestive ailments, and weight gain. With an immense lack of digestive qualities, these foods can remain in your intestines creating a condition of purification killing the necessary nutrients for a healthy GI tract.

Please understand this is not a judgment; we all have busy schedules, so we're all guilty of falling prey to the allure of convenience, but unfortunately, it is at the cost of our well-being. Nutrient deficient food impacts our life with thoughts, and actions that don't serve us; junk in - junk out!

If you feel unhealthy now, how will you handle 1, 3 or 5 years from now?

Everyone may agree that what we eat can impact our health, but many of us don't realize which foods best reduce these digestive ailments. Consuming a balanced diet of nutrient-dense whole foods can often seem too general a concept. I have found that it is best to encourage people to improve their current diet gradually, transitioning to a healthier diet one step at a time by continually seeking out healthier, less processed alternatives in big and small ways whenever possible.

A great place to start is becoming highly aware of what is in your grocery cart. A lack of energy, indigestion, constipation, mental focus and clarity all directly relate to your daily food choices. What you consume each day will affect how you think, feel, respond, and perform in your daily functions. Your engines are best fueled up with whole foods, positive thoughts, and practical actions to gain vitality.
