There are many success stories about using hypnosis to treat depression. Hypnosis and Depression

Studies on hypnosis have proven its effectiveness as a treatment for depression.

One study integrated hypnosis with cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT) and show hypnosis to be an effective treatment for depression by producing 6%, 5%, and 8% greater reduction in depression, anxiety, and hopelessness, respectively, over and above CBT. Furthermore, this was maintained at 6-month and 12-month follow-ups.

In another study, 78% of participants reported improvements in quality of life, anxiety, and depression, while 82% of participants considered it worthwhile, despite no improvements in their symptoms.
