Drink Your Veggies!

Start your day with a powerhouse of green veggies. Suggested vegetable intake is one pound of vegetables per day. To achieve this, try a blended green drink.

Use only fresh, organic vegetables when possible. You can vary your picks by what is in season.

I throw a handful of kale, dandelion greens, cucumber, sliced green apple, flesh of one lemon and ice in the Vitamix (if you can afford it, investing in your health by buying a quality juicer or blender is totally worth it).

Add anything you have on hand and your preferred taste— carrots, berries, spinach, beets. I limit the fruit and focus on the veggies.

Blend for 2 minutes and enjoy!
