What inspired me to become a wellness professional?
At 18 years old I started searching for ways to feel and look better after years of an unhealthy diet and relationship with food. I read every book related to eastern nutrition and energy work that I could get my hands on. I felt so great after making simple changes that I wanted to study and train for a career where I could help others achieve the same balance and wellness, regardless of how busy or unhealthy they might be. I truly love what I do and my work is my passion.
How my clients describe their first visit?
Our first consultation will be a chance to get to know each other and set goals. I will ask you a number of questions about your current diet, lifestyle, and symptoms, and assess your physical and emotional state from an Ayurvedic perspective. I'm happy to work with clients who are just looking for a chef, or a nutrition consultant, or a Reiki master--or all three!
What I say to someone who has never tried a plant-based diet?
There's no need to sacrifice nutrients or taste when switching to a whole-foods, plant-based diet. Much of what we've learned about nutrition over the years is wrong; and is the leading cause of diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. I love to prepare meals and teach people how to eat in order to look and feel their best without giving up their budget or enjoyment.
