About Me

Hey there! 👋🏼 My name is Dr. Carolyn Stone and I practice naturopathic medicine in the heart of Tempe. I moved to Arizona from Ohio in 2007 to attend naturopathic medical school and chose to make AZ my home. After graduating in 2011, I worked at a couple of physician's offices before I was finally able to start renting a room to see patients in September of 2013. In May of 2015 I was given a small loan from my amazing grandmother which allowed me to open my own space. We have been at our current location ever since and continue to grow!

What inspired me to become a wellness professional?

I was fortunate enough to have an amazing pediatrician. She was really more of a naturopathic physician, though she was trained as an MD. She always asked about lifestyle stuff and I still remember her thorough physical exams. When I realized this was not the norm in conventional medicine, I knew I had to take another path. Enter- Naturopathic Medicine. As soon as I ready the naturopathic principles, it was clear that this is what I was meant to do.

How my clients describe their first visit?

My clients often state that they finally feel heard. You get over an hour to share your story with me, leaving no details behind! You get a detailed physical exam and clear instructions on your next steps. We do our best to create an environment that is comfortable, efficient, and just overall pleasant.

What I say to someone who has never tried naturopathic medicine?

Welcome to the light! Seriously though, naturopathic medicine serves a major gap in our healthcare system. If you're tired of 5 minute visits where you can only discuss 1 concern at a time, naturopathic medicine is for you. If you want a thorough assessment on all treatment options available to you (not just limited to pharmaceutical drugs), naturopathic medicine is for you. If you want to be an active participant in your health, naturopathic medicine is for you.
