What inspired me to become a wellness professional?
Growing up in Berkeley, California, I was always interested in science, and found I had an aptitude for it. How my clients describe their first visit?
Typically patients remark on how thorough and extensive their experience is, as I take 2 hours to really get to know them as well as leave time for an acupuncture treatment. People who have had a lot of acupuncture also comment on my unique style and how they've never had a treatment like that before. Most patients leave hopeful that things are going to start improving and are excited to continue the work.
What I say to someone who has never tried Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is a way to communicate with the body via the language of sensation. You'll likely feel a small prick or poke as the needle goes in; after the needle is in you may feel different types of sensations, such as dullness, aching, or pulling. You might also feel the sensation radiating away from the point. People often experience things happening in a completely different part of the body as well. If the sensation is very sharp or nervy and doesn't start to calm down within a few seconds, of if it's too intense or uncomfortable at any time, let me know right away.
