Learn more about Dr. Peter
I am a Sports Medicine Chiropractor specializing in soft tissue work and Functional Movement. I also have post-graduate training in Functional Medicine and Neurology. In addition to adjustments and manipulation, my go to techniques in the clinic are Active Release Technique, cupping, Graston tools, kinesiotape and corrective exercise.
What inspired me to become a wellness professional?
"I've always been fascinated with self-actualization and human potential. I began practicing martial arts and music as a kid, yoga and meditation as a teenager, and the healing arts as a young man. I believe everyone has the right to live an extraordinary, deeply fulfilling life and I work everyday to bring this to my clients and the world around me. I am currently pursuing a Master's in Functional Medicine but I also teach weekly meditation classes, train in Muai Thai and spend time with my family."
How my clients describe their first visit?
A significant reduction in symptoms on the first visit. While most chiropractor's goal is seeing a patient 30-40 visits, a majority of my patients are resolved in 2-4 visits. This is because I use a holistic, functional movement-based approach to analysis and treatment combining a wide variety of manual therapy techniques. adjustments and corrective exercise as well metabolic and neurological interventions.
What I say to someone who has never tried Chiropract Sports Medicine?
While getting the patient out of pain as quickly as possible is a top priority, finding the root cause of pain is the ultimate goal. Frequently, musculoskeletal pain is the the result of compensations from dysfunctional movement patterns. Assessing and correcting global movement patterns is the fastest way to create lasting change; not just provide temporary relief. This approach empowers the patient by giving the tools and confidence to take control of their own recovery and beyond.
