I'm a board-certified traditional naturopath targeting inflammation from chronic conditions such as MS or other autoimmune issues.
Learn more about Dr. Elizabeth
I'm all about healthy eating and eating well... and I like it to be quick and easy, too. One of my mantras is "Whole foods are better than processed foods," and I invented and patented a way of cooking to make it easier to follow. Another of my mantras is "You'll never get there if you don't start with the first step." Anything can feel scary or overwhelming, but if you just focus on moving forward with one little action at a time, before you know it you'll have accomplished your goal!
What inspired me to become a wellness professional?
My interest in natural health and healthy eating began after I awoke blind in one eye in 1999 and was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I started studying nutrition and learning about how what we eat affects how we feel and function in order to keep myself out of a wheelchair. Now I've used the same approaches with hundreds of autoimmune sufferers to help them manage their bodies to safeguard their health and abilities.
How my clients describe their first visit?
The first session is either a phone call or a Zoom meeting (client's choice) and is an extensive dive into the client's health history leading up to what they are experiencing now. This helps determine if the client is a good candidate for the therapies that I offer.
What I say to someone who has never tried dietary therapy?
We all have to eat anyway; you might as well be eating the foods that don't irritate your body. You can continue on whatever medications you have agreed on with your regular doctor as we are just going to talk about what you should be eating. I use state-of-the-art laboratory blood and urine tests to show me exactly how to design your unique, customized anti-inflammatory diet, so there is no guesswork involved.
