What inspired me to become a wellness professional?
I saw how lacking a strict medical approach was in addressing the nervous system's role on health. I wanted to work with people's bodies in a way that focused on their abilities and strengths rather than simply their dysfunction.
How my clients describe their first visit?
Everything begins with relationship! I think my clients would say I'm calm, nurturing, professional and listen to them and watch their movements, documenting their symptoms. I always ask for communication during treatment and clearly explain any specific maneuvers, why it's needed, anatomy I'm addressing.
What I say to someone who has never tried Neuromuscular Therapy?
I'm going to be working with muscle attachment sites in a deep but mindful way, but it's very important you communicate your pain level to me so that I don't induce fear which will inhibit the therapeutic process. Breathe with me.
