About Me

Sometimes growth depends on being able to create something different for yourself. The therapeutic use of music can help you to create the conditions ripe for growth. As a music therapist, I take a contemplative and creative approach. This approach takes a holistic view of what it means to be "human" and what mental well-being is.

How my clients describe their first visit?

Clients often comment on how well I listen to them and how accepted they feel with me. Through the use of music, people also describe therapy as being powerful in an unique way. Clients sometimes surprise themselves with the thoughts and feelings that can come up. These thoughts and feelings can lead to profound connections and insights.

What I say to someone who has never tried

Contrary to what you might think, one doesn't have to be a musician to find music therapy beneficial. As humans, we are hard-wired to respond to music. Music impacts our bodies and our brains. Going even deeper, music can touch our hearts and souls. Because of this, music can give voice to feelings and experiences for which you can't find the words. It can help you to find your ground, to gain or regain clarity, and to discover who you truly are.
