I began practicing Bikram Yoga in 2011 after being begged by a friend to come try a class. I had the classic, "How could yoga be a workout?" though. But as everyone is, I was so wrong. In high school and college I tore up my body from sports, and the stress from undergrad is tough to manage. The 90 minute series of 26 postures and 2 breathing excises was exactly what I needed without realizing before hand that i was missing something. My posture improved, I have more energy, my joints increased in flexibility, scar tissues from old injury started to break up, and my body changed.
