Learn more about Jodi
I am a certified Ayurvedic practitioner focusing on working as a retreat chef for yoga, ayurvedic, transformational, and womens retreats. It brings me great joy to provide food nourishment as one of the top pillars of health.
I strive to present menus specific for the intention of every retreat, and to accomodate any special dietary needs.
What inspired me to become a wellness professional?
I simply have been called to do this work on a soul level. Ayurveda kept finding its way to me, as a way to teach and serve others. With the understanding of how to implement prescriptions for making daily life easier for each unique individual, I am happy to share this beautiful gift of Ayurveda.
How my clients describe their first visit?
No matter which modality a client chooses with me, I like for the experience to be warm and comfortable during any meeting. The first visit is thorough, relaxing, and illuminating when visiting for an intake. When having an Ayurvedic treatment such as shirodhara, it is relaxing and safe.
What I say to someone who has never tried
Ayurveda is the whole person, is all encompassing and inclusive. This ancient science is still applicable to our modern daily live. Each of us has a unique constitutional make up and imbalance, and as a practitioner I am the guide, giving tools and creative support. We work together to bring harmony and understanding to the mind/body with daily prescriptions to implement for lifelong health using food as medicine, herbal formulas, breathing techniques, excercise (yoga, etc...) colors, aromas as well as anything else relevant and useful to achieve that intention.
