What inspired me to become a wellness professional?
I was first inspired by the presence of my teachers Robert Hall and Richard Strozzi-Heckler, founders of the Lomi School in the early '70s. Through them I learned about the potential available for healing through somatic awareness and touch.
How my clients describe their first visit?
I don't know what or how, but something happened and I definitely feel better, more calm and clear, with some relief to my pain. I look forward to returning.
What I say to someone who has never tried
This work is kind of like "applied meditation". While I sit with my hands in different places on a client, I do a quiet internal practice that allows me to sense where contact is needed, and my client gets the benefit of my practice. There's something subtle and indescribable, always balancing and supportive, that takes place deep in the body through this contact.
