What inspired me to become a wellness professional?
I have always been interested in complementary therapies. I became a wellness professional following a car accident in 1992. During recovery I became acquainted with various healing modalities and following a reflexology session I was immediately pain free after three months of being in pain. My curiosity in complementary healing methods led me to study reflexology. My reflexology clients encouraged me to learn massage. And I did. Since then, it's been an ever-expansive learning experience for me.
What I say to someone who has never tried massage therapy or bodywork?
Bodywork/massage therapy is a great way to relax. One of my teachers said, "if you can get your mind to relax, everything else will start to relax." I'm all about the relaxation aspect. No pain, no pain.
