Our bodies are exquisitely designed to testify as to what is wholesome and healing. The challenge is that our brain has a different set of criteria, driven primarily by events that are rare in the natural world, but which have been packaged for ready consumption in our consumer economy. So what I emphasis in therapy is Joy, which arises from meaningful and lasting connection to the self and others. Hope that helps!

"All acts of love and pleasure are my sacrament." That was an axiom of the women's spirituality movement. As a bodyworker I was taught to always follow the "position of comfort." As a craniosacral therapist, our greatest effect is when we use "the indirect method," which means we let the body go the direction it goes the easiest when we are testing motion restriction. If you let the body go the direction it wants to go, the other tighter side also stretches. Getting any movement in the region is the idea. Pretty soon, the whole area self corrects. Extrapolating from these examples, I think pleasure is indeed one of the highest paths of healing.

100% I call myself the Pleasure Queen and help clients dig into their deepest work through pleasure...I'm completely sure this is a pathway to heal.

When we are able to find true pleasure in all aspects of life, that is a good sign there is harmony and balance in the chakra systems and our energetic system/ spiritually which in turn manifests in our physical, emotional, and mental bodies. So yes, I do agree that pleasure is pathway to healing. Our 2nd Chakra the Sacral Plexus Chakra which is associated with our reproductive /sexual organs (among others) helps us to explore areas in life that we may find pleasure and joy sexually and non-sexually. It is also connected to our inner-child-like selves where we lack shame, find joy, and create. We can find pleasure in life in many ways and exploring this will help to clear the foundation and first layers of our energetic systems (Root Chakra and Sacral Chakra) which is optimal for healing the entire system and the 4 bodies.
